Puripoints Explaination

Over the past month or so I have seen people complaining about the Puripoints. When I read their complaints it seems to me that they do not fully understand how the system works... So I thought I might write out an explanation of said system.
Under the Ranking column to the left of your profile you can see a number such as "# 135" or "# 15,008". This is your puricute rank. This determines how high you are on the food chain. #1 is at the top... And so on and so forth. This ranking changes every day at the reset time. So all of the points everyone accumulated over the 24 hour period get added and your new rank is displayed. You can go up a rank, down a rank or stay stationary. The newer you are and lower your rank, the easier it is to go up.
Below your big number is a smaller bar that says "Yesterday". It has a number and on the other size another number and a plus or minus sign. This first number is what rank you were yesterday. The number next to the plus or minus sign determines how many ranks you have increased or decreased since yesterday. If you are rank 14 today, but rank 15 yesterday, the number will be "1+". If you were #15 yesterday and rank 25 today... It will say "10-". If your rank did not go up or down since yesterday it will say "0-", which means there is no difference. The rank change is determined by your points that were gained yesterday.
Remember that everyone is logging in and gaining points every day. If you are number 10, and need 2000 points to rank up, you can still rank down, even if you acquire that 2000 points. Why is this? Let us say that number 9 gained points as well. The points that gained over the last 24 hours goes on top of the 2000 points you had to gain to get to where they were. If number 11 gained more points that needed to rank up, and gained more points than you did in the last 24 hours, they will pass you. They will now have your spot (Spot 10) and you will drop down to fill their previous position (11). Does this make sense to you?
Puriposts, puripics, comments, making friends etc can earn you points. These points are listed on the pink bar under the "yesterday" bar. This is your 'current' score. It is up to date. But remember that your 'rank' doesn't change until the day reset.
Further down you will see a list of people. The person higher ranked than you, yourself, and the one below you. This helps you keep track of how far you have to go to go up, or down one rank. But keep in mind that your neighbors are also making points through out the day. And you wont find out how many until the reset.
Below that is the "Points to Rank" number. This tells you how many points you need to be where the person above you was at during the day reset. So if you are number 10, and you wish to become number 9... If you have 40,000 points and they have 43,000 at midnight, you need 3,001 points to get past where they were at midnight. Just remember that 3,001 points will only give you their rank if they did not earn 'any' puripoints all day the next day. If they made a friend (25 points) then you will need to earn 3,026 points to out rank them. If they made 4 friends you will need 3,101 points to outrank them, and so on.
Hopefully that helps some of the users better understand. The 0- and 1+ score is not how many points you earned, but how many rankings you went up or down over the past 24 hours. Also, here are how to earn points, and how many points they earn.
1) Create a Photo (+15)
2) Make Friends (+20)
3) Create a PuriPost (+5)
4) Send a Message (+2)
5) Make Comments (+5)
Thank you for taking the time to read this basic information. Again, I hope that it was helpful.
