It's Not That Easy to Get Students to Sign Up

Shockingly, the new professor in the department put up a post on the Facebook group we have for the Art Club in our department, commenting that no one had signed up for his class. I am not in any of his current classes now but the students who are have talked about him being curt towards students and not personable whether teaching or advising students outside of class. Many of the students have anticipated failing his classes this semester since he seems tougher on grading and testing than the rest of the staff here.
In the post, he wrote it in such a way to try to persuade us to take his class, but bordered on guilt-tripping students altogether. Then he posted links to polls which would tell him why we couldn't take his class and what would be a better time for us. There's a tiny part of me that feels bad but by the same token, I am 99% done with the coursework for my major and need to focus on my minor and general areas for my degree now. I can't help but read his post as sounding slightly like a complaint about the students not flocking to his classes like the other professors in our department.
