We made DIY Landry Detergent in our Life Skills Class, It was super easy, it kind of looked like baby powder with bits of shredded cheese in it, but it worked wonders on my laundry, and made my clothes so soft and comfy, it smells great too!
1 bar (or 4.5 ounces) of shaved bar soap (Ivory, ZOTE, Fels-Naptha) [You can use a cheese grater :3]
1 cup of borax
1 cup of washing soda
Thoroughly stir together for 5 minutes and enjoy the results!
Use 1 Tbsp per load (or 2 Tbsp for heavily soiled loads).
[TIP:] for even softer, and better smelling clothes, we added in these little Downy Scent Boosters. They looked like tiny blue candies, but don't eat them! ^^'
