Earth got a close shave Monday morning from an asteroid so small it was originally mistaken for space junk.

The object, called 2011 MD, zipped 7,600 miles above Earth?s surface at about 1:15 p.m. EDT on June 27. It was discovered on June 22 by the LINEAR project, which hunts for objects that pass close to Earth using robotic telescopes in New Mexico.

Lady gaga is being sued for allegedly pocketing some of the "We Pray For Japan" proceeds. It's claimed that, though they were advertised as "All proceeds go to helping Japan", not all of the money donated was sent to Japan.

this isn't actually the "latest" news but it has been comfirmed that Daesung of Bigbang had killed the motorcyclist that was on a road. The other BigBang members had continued airing Musicbank/Melon/Inkigayo etc. I hope Daesung gets better soon from all the trauma :/

This story is a couple weeks old, but for people not watching local MO news, it may be new to you.

After the devastation of the tornado in Joplin Missouri, a man who respects America and their community service and helpfulness, especially to Japan, after their disaster, came all the way to the US to help clean up Joplin. He biked 10 miles to and from his hotel every day to work tirelessly in the sun, in the wreckage. Full story below.
